My 2025 TEDxSavannah talk
Earlier this year, I stepped onto the TEDxSavannah stage to share a message that’s been on my heart for a while.
Truth be told, I almost didn’t apply. I didn't make the cut the previous year, and I'd committed to focusing on my book this year. But with just hours left before the deadline, I realized I could lean on my new book's message for the TEDx talk and adjust it to fit a more general audience. I opened the application, filled it out, and hit submit. A few months later, there I was — mic on, lights shining down, and genuinely having the time of my life sharing this idea with a live audience.
In the talk, I ask a question that sparked some powerful hallway conversations afterward:
As you look at your schedule this week… what would you be relieved to see get canceled?
It’s a simple prompt, but one that opens the door to deeper clarity — for business owners, leaders, and honestly, anyone trying to do meaningful work without losing themselves in the process.
If the message resonates, you might also enjoy my book Goodness Over Greatness. It goes even deeper into how we can build businesses (and lives) we’re actually proud of.
With that, here’s the talk. I hope you enjoy it:
