This is a tool that no ExpressionEngine developer should be without. ER Developer Toolbar creates a beautiful bridge between the front end of your ExpressionEngine site and the control panel with direct links for things like global variables, template editing, cache clearing and more. It is there when you need it and gets out of the way when you don't. Be sure to check out the video demo before you try it out for the first time.

Erik
I just upgraded to the latest version and now it’s completely unstyled and doesn’t obey instructions to display at the top. Everything is displaying on the left (vertically) below the footer.
Sean,
That’s very odd. Did you replace all of the files? Have you tried disabling and re-enabling the extension? If it’s still not working perhaps we can catch up on AIM or Skype to debug this. My username on both is simply ‘ErikReagan’.
Erik,
thanks for the skype chat - that’ll teach me to that reading the docs is important. Problem fixed.
Erik,
This looks like a handy little tool. Is it easy to add your own quick links to the toolbar? Would be nice to have a section in the control panel where you could define a drop down list in the toolbar for your own personal quick links - be they onsite or elsewhere.
Feature request?
Great…
Do you mean your toolbar version 2.0 or the version for EE 2.0?
Super… Will this be a commercial paid release? Also what’s the ETA?
I hope to release it toward the end of Q1 but there are a number of factors that play into the timing. No guarantees.
As for license, it will likely be commercial (and be waaayyy cooler :))
Great!
Very nice!
I used to make in CP a new tab calling for template and query module to build requested links….but man this is pretty nice especially that it loads also in the front end not to mention time saving building it.
Great idea!
Keep it up :)
Great Extension. Seems to have issues in IE8. If this is already being discussed, please point me in the right direction.
Thanks Mike. I haven’t tested it in IE8 so I’ll take a look and see what bugs are there. Thanks for letting me know.
Hi Erik!
I’m very happy about this add-on! I was looking for something like this a couple months back, but couldn’t find anything. This is super! You are very talented. Keep up the excellent work!
Your Words of Wisdom
